Adds Orthros from Pyria to your game as a standalone mod: a custom, balanced-for-vanilla critter intended to be obtained mid-game, with usefulness far into late game as a powerful and versatile partner!

A mammal-like dragon with nomadic tendencies, Orthros tend to settle down wherever they can carve a niche for themselves. While normally solitary, Orthros are Fusion-Fission based creatures, meaning that they are capable of banding together or separating in loose groups as needed. Uniquely, each of Orthros' heads are their own separate entity, often causing the creature to bicker with itself. Yet when the heads cooperate, they are capable of impressive predatory feats, attacking with such fervor and ferocity they can punch above their weight class. This makes them a solid predator wherever they decide to bunker down, and if they group up, can become even deadlier to establish themselves in the local ecosystem.

An adaptable tame, Orthros are surprisingly well-rounded and their versatility makes them useful to a survivor of any tier of progress that can obtain one. Alpha Orthros are an uncommon rarity, but these brutish creatures are capable of unique feats and abilities that can give them an edge in combat. If one were to challenge an Alpha Orthros with their own, their sharp-eyed mount might just pick up on these abilities, being able to use them for themselves!

Orthros are Fusion-Fission, meaning they start working in loose groups as needed. Every 2.5 seconds, Orthros will check an 8000 unit radius around themselves for non-allied targets that are Alphas, Boss Dinos, Mission Dinos, or Corrupted. If so, they will gain the Fusion-Fission buff and gain Gang (not pack) bonus while active. Fusion-Fission is mostly used as a mounted indicator that Orthros' mechanic is active, but it does increase Orthros' movement speed by 5%. When Gang Bonus is active, Orthros gain 5% melee and 3.5% resistance per nearby allied Orthros, to a max of +7 (8 Orthros). This is roughly 35% melee and 24% resistance at max.

Killing Alpha Orthros grants a fair amount of exp (similar to alpha carno), counts for Chibis, and drops loot similar to Alpha Carnos while also providing a chance at better Orthros saddles, BP or otherwise.
Alpha Orthros also have a few unique abilities they will use in combat. Any time your Orthros is close (and I do mean close, to simulate being in-combat) to an Alpha as it does one of these attacks, it has a chance to learn that attack for itself, permanently. You cannot then use said Orthros to try and teach other Orthros, for balance. You must go seek out Alphas.
Left Click: bite. Base 35 damage. No special effect.
Right Click: bite flurry. Base 45 damage. Stationary attack: cannot be used while moving and costs a set amount of stamina to use. Bite several times in rapid succession, with each bite draining a set amount of stamina.
C Key: Headbutt. Base 40 damage. Stationary attack. Knocks back targets.
C Key while running: Head Swipe. Is an Alpha-Taught move, cannot be used with insufficient stamina. Base 72 damage, has a cooldown. Rear up onto your back legs, advance forward then deliver a head swipe which deals knockback and stuns targets 250 drag weight or less.
X Key: Grab. Base 5 damage. Is an Alpha-Taught move. Cannot be done while moving. Orthros will try to grab a target, it can grab anything 150 drag weight and less. If it succeeds, bite the target several times for base 35 damage before throwing them aside. If the attack misses, suffer and end-lag animation where the one head will get upset at the other for missing the attack and bite it, inflicting base 35 damage scaling with melee stat.
X Key while running: Lunge. Is an Alpha-Taught move. Base 50 damage, deals knockback while hitting twice. An excellent gap closer.
