The Tek Drill is a structure that when crafted, can be placed down in the world. Once placed down it will scan the ground below it for available space to build an Underground Base.

After scanning, the user can open the fully interactive UI to visualize a 3D representation of the available locations, and choose to expand the Underground Base by crafting Modules and activating the Drill. The base can be expanded up to a max size of 9x9x9 modules.

Once modules have been created by expanding the base, the user can then use the interactive UI or a radial option on the terminal above ground to teleport into the base. Once inside, the user can use this UI to teleport to other modules inside the base, disable or enable different walls for each module, add or change an extra structure that can be moved and rotated to adjust to the users needs. For example, one can add a ramp to the module and angle it to create stairs to access higher levels of the drill without needing to teleport.

This interactive UI will show a movable 3D representation of the Underground Base, including color coded walls to show their state and the extra structures. It also allows very easy and intuitive editing of the modules in the base, including multi-select options, and the previews being completely rotatable.

On top of these features, there is a fully modular Upgrade system. Inside the inventory of the terminal above ground, the user can craft different upgrades for the Underground Base, each with their own tier system. Currently, there are:

Camera upgrade, that adds 4 cameras to the corners of the drill, allowing the user to see outside the base and even rotate these cameras.
Player Radar upgrade, that scans around the drill for nearby players and displays them on a UI inside the terminal
Electric Field upgrade, that when activated, triggers lightning to start coming down around the drill, damaging enemies
Resource Generation upgrade, that when activated starts passively generating mineral resources by drilling into the ground.

The Underground base is also raidable, by allowing enemies to teleport into it if the Drill has been damaged under an HP threshold. The Drill will also gain damage resistance when below a certain HP threshold, to encourage enemies to teleport inside and raid it instead of destroying it from the outside. If an enemy destroys it from the outside, all the dinos inside will be teleported above ground and given the cryo sickness debuff. Any structures with items inside them will have their bags teleported above ground, where they can be looted.

The Terminal also provides access to configuration for the Drill.

Current configurable features:

 - Maximum base size in each direction

 - Amount of days to reach max wear and tear on the Drill structure

 - Allowing or preventing turrets inside the Base

- Allowing or preventing riding dinos inside the Base

- Allowing or preventing teleporting into the base while riding a dino, or teleporting out of the base alongside the nearest dino to the current terminal

- Editing threshold where enemies can access the Underground Base

- Editing the Incoming Damage Multiplier the Drill receives when under the previous threshold

- Editing the Outgoing Damage Multiplier for dinos while inside the base

More planned features:

- Module Variants: swappable module variants with additional effects, like a Healing module that heals the player over time, or a Crafting module that increases the players crafting skill when standing inside
